SENIOR CENTER HAPPENINGS Mar 6, 2020:
Cynthia Wampner
Hello to everyone from all of us at the Licking Senior Center. I trust everyone had a good week.
After all, “Let your unique awesomeness and positive energy inspire confidence in others.” “Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.” “If you want light to come into your life, you need to stand where it is shining.”
Volunteers are so amazing. After all, “I am only one but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something.” Would you like to come over to the senior center and volunteer? Call Cindy at 573-674-3558.
Our 2020 love your center charts are done and ready to be hung. If you participate in this campaign, come on over and take a look at these charts. Thank you Meri Wrest for another job well done.
Come on over and get your tickets for the evening with a Patsy Cline tribute. This event will be held Saturday February 8th at 5:30 pm. Dinner will be served. All of this for $8.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door. Also, Meri Wrest will be fixing up the dining room, I’m sure it will be elaborate.
A beautiful young girl is about to undergo a minor operation. She’s laid on a hospital trolley bed with nothing on, except a sheet over her. The nurse pushes the trolley down the corridor towards the operating theatre, where she leaves the girl on the trolley outside, while she goes in to check whether everything is ready. A young man wearing a white coat approaches, lifts the sheet up and starts examining her body. He puts the sheet back and then walks away and talks to another man in a white coat. The second man comes over, lifts the sheet and does the same examinations. When a third man does the same thing, but more closely, she grows impatient and says: “All these examinations are fine and appreciated, but when are you going to start the operation?” The man in the white coat shrugged his shoulders: “I have no idea. We’re just painting the corridor.”
“Don’t tell God how big your storm is , tell the storm how big your God is.”
