This is a subtitle for your new post
Hello to everyone from all of us at the Licking senior center. I trust everyone had a Happy Easter.
Lunch is served from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm. There are carry outs available and the dining room is open.
Minnie Akers turned 80 years young on April 5th. Her family is having a 80 th birthday party for her at the Rock Springs Baptist church on April 10th at 1:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to come
Our silent auction is a big one. We have things like a sketch of the old Linson barn by Loran Creech and a sketch of the old Jones’s chicken house by Mike Creech, a 1997 Licking Park Manor quilt with all residents from that year on it. And a lot of other stuff, that are to numerous to mention. Come and bid, the bidding will end on April 23rd. There will also be a volunteer appreciation party at one on the 23rd. Everyone is welcome.
The volunteer of the week should be volunteer of the year. Marilyn Cantrell is a very dedicated volunteer. She wants this Senior Center to thrive and would do just about anything to make sure it does. She gets a little mouthy once in a while but I have learned to ignore her. Thank you Marilyn for all you do at the senior center.
Little Johnny went with his mother for the first time to deliver lunches to the elderly.
Little Johnny kept starring at a pair of false teeth soaking in a glass.
He said, very softly, "The tooth fairy will never believe this!"
Psalm 27 1
The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.
