Hello to everyone from all of us at the Licking Senior Center. I trust that you had a great week.
Unfortunately, old man winter is upon us. Be prepared for the unexpected things that can happen in the winter time.
We are going to have a Christmas gift exchange in the parking lot at 12:00 pm on Friday December 11th. You can sit in your car or get out and walk around. There will be a Christmas tree and Candy, and music playing. Bring a $10.00 gift for a man or a woman and be prepared to have some fun.
The senior center will be closed December 23- 25th for Christmas break. We wish you a merry Christmas. See you on Monday December 28th.
There will not be a toenail clinic this month, but watch for January’s clinic.
Visit us on our website at lbbseniorcenter.com, here you will find our monthly menus and activities and so much more.
Our transportation website is also available, visit us at website is www.texascountytransit.com.
For a transportation ride, please call us at 573-674-3558. Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
We still have gift cards available for Christmas. If you would like to pick one up, just come to the front door, and we will give you one. $25.00 for five meals and $50.00 for ten meals.
Beginning January 1st, we will begin another Love your Center campaigns. You pay $60.00 for one year, you get 2 free meals. Folks, this is what pays the utilities all year. We can really use your help with this campaign. We appreciate what you do to make this a continued success.
Okay, so right now there are only about 6-8 committed volunteers weekly. This is your senior center, and I want to keep things running, please come and help volunteer by calling 573-674-3558. Ask for Cindy.
Little Johnny's preschool class went on a field trip to the fire station. The firefighter giving the presentation held up a smoke detector and asked the class: "Does anyone know what this is?"
Little Johnny's hand shot up and the firefighter called on him.
Little Johnny replied: "That's how Mommy knows supper is ready!"
Matthew 2:11 - And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
